WHERE TO START

​​For NEW VIEWERS to Roleplay-Shows:

  • We, the viewers, are left in the dark and only during the show we see the story unfold and get to know more.

  • "The GMs have their idea outlined, but all other interactions are improvised" (quote from Mod). What it boils down to: Improv+Dice (+Theater).

  • Start with a couple of episodes of a show. You will witness how the characters and the story unfold before your eyes and will keep you captivated. A Tablestory show, the story and characters, will always keep developing along the way. It’s a constant evolving process.

  • You don’t need any pre-understanding. Everything is easy to understand.

For NEW Tablestory Discord members:

  • The community is always interested to hear from new viewers their experience when catching up with a current show or binge view/listen through a show from the past. Feel free to announce the start of your endeavours and what your thoughts are along the way, in the respective show sections. Don't forget to blank any potential / minor / major spoilers with a spoiler tag when posting in the Tablestory Discord.

  • The Tablestory community successfully regulate themselves when it comes to preventing spoilers! How to spoiler tag is explained in the #info section in the Tablestory Discord. (The spoiler tagging started to come fully into effect from March 2019 onwards. Just keep this in mind when you decide to scroll back to the messages, in a show channel, which were posted before/around that time.)

Check out the current available LIVE stories which are being aired on the TABLESTORY Twitch channel. It doesn't matter if you come into the midst of a running story. Dive in and see if anything piques your interest. Stay and join the community during the LIVE shows. You have always the option to fall back on the VODs and PODCASTs to view/listen to the previous episodes.

For Your Information:

  • People are around in the chat just before a show starts. Join in and wait with them until the curtains are raised. When opening the Tablestory Twitch channel, click on the CHAT option (this is if the stream isn't live). This will open the stream window/chat window.

  • If you have any questions, there is a chance that your message might go under during a live show. I therefore highly recommend joining the Tablestory Discord. (see Suggestion 02)

SUGGESTION 02:

Tablestory offers a great variety of shows you can pick from. Ask the Tablestory community what show they recommend. Join the Tablestory Discord and ask around in the #general section, or in the respective show sections. The community members offer a lot of advice. With their help, they can point out to you which current stories or past stories to catch up on or binge-watch/-listen to.

SUGGESTION 03:
