Figures clad in bulking armour shuffle along and maintain order amongst the fighters. Cages, holding ferocious animals' captive, are moved around. Once in a while a giant paw swipes at someone or a jaw, full of razor blade sharp teeth, is snapped shut. The distant roar of the crowd arises as the first contestants enter the arena atop. Prepared fighters and taunted animals are moved to the main arena above. Let the fights commence.
